Homemade Ranch..

Date: June 21, 2019 | Time: 9:51am

Hard to find salad dressings that are dairy and gluten free? Look no further, this Ranch recipe is a keeper! Be conscious to use a mayo that is dairy-free and also uses something other than soybean oil- mine was avocado oil based. The fresh herbs give it a great flavor-however they won't stay fresh for a long time. This recipe is best served fresh with a great summer salad. .... <view entire article>

Haluski (Cabbage and Noodles)..

Date: June 14, 2019 | Time: 9:07am

This Food Friday meal Originates from Poland and Slovakia! Haluski is a delicious dish to share with your friends and family. After all, who doesn't like cabbage cooked in bacon grease?? Traditional Haluski is made with egg noodles and we modified it using rice noodles to be gluten-free. Additionally, you want to be sure that your bacon has no added nitrates/nitrites. You could easily add in additional veggies of your choice into this stir fry-like meal. I served it.... <view entire article>

Rosemary Garlic Meatballs..

Date: June 7, 2019 | Time: 7:37am

One word to describe this dish- delicious! I chose to cook them on the stovetop instead of the oven. Make sure to chop the rosemary EXTREMELY fine. This assures that it won't have a pine-needle texture inside your meatballs. The key to great meatballs on the stovetop is not to flip them too early. You want meatballs, not ground hamburger! I added the stalks of the garlic plant to the dish while cooking as well- this is a.... <view entire article>

Paleo Pecan Crusted Chicken..

Date: May 31, 2019 | Time: 2:27pm

This recipe was recommended by Christine, who said this is one of her favorites. After trying it, it's definitely going to be a favorite of mine as well! This recipe is super easy and very tasty! I did not have access to a food processor, so my pecan chunks were a little bigger than most, but it was still delicious and had a wonderful crunch. This is the perfect recipe for a side of roasted veggies or sweet.... <view entire article>

Almond Chicken..

Date: May 24, 2019 | Time: 9:00am

Today's recipe is one of my favorites! This recipe is frequently made in my household and has great flavor. It is best served with a vegetable, salad, and some sort of starch to soak up all its creamy goodness. Although the traditional recipe uses heavy whipping cream, it is easily made dairy-free by substituting coconut milk and coconut cream. It's a running joke that we always forget the almonds on top, so remember to top it off with some.... <view entire article>

Paprika Parsnip Fries..

Date: May 10, 2019 | Time: 12:53pm

If you have yet to become a parsnip fan, here is your chance!! These parsnip fries are a great addition to any meal, and they're super easy to make! Think of them as a cross between a carrot and a potato. I personally used coconut oil instead of butter to roast them. I also did not peel the parsnips, I just made sure they were cleaned well before baking. Beware of anything that might be stuck to the bottom.... <view entire article>

Paleo Swedish Meatballs..

Date: May 3, 2019 | Time: 8:00am

Today's Food Friday is a great meal for the whole family! Using coconut milk in place of a dairy product is a great way to incorporate the creamy taste without being overly inflammatory to the body. For the gravy I recommend starting with making a roux- equal parts coconut oil/organic butter and arrowroot flour (I used 2 TBSP of butter and 2 TBSP of arrowroot flour) and then adding the coconut milk and beef broth from there. I used white.... <view entire article>

Chicken Tacos..

Date: April 19, 2019 | Time: 4:00am

This Food Friday we present to you: Chicken Tacos! This is a great recipe for the whole family to enjoy. I personally added peppers and onions to make it a little bit more like a fajita. Unfortunately, I did not have any ripe avocados to add to the mix, but I'm sure it makes the recipe even better. The cilantro on top is a great touch and adds flavor! .... <view entire article>

Grilled Lemon-Pepper Zucchini..

Date: April 12, 2019 | Time: 8:40am

Happy Food Friday everyone! Today we are sharing another great recipe from the US Enzymes recipe book! Grilled Lemon-Pepper Zucchini is a great side dish or main meal. Since I don't have a grill at home (yet), I made this on the stovetop in my cast iron pan with a lid. I also chose to switch out the EVOO for coconut oil as I prefer that taste and it's a healthier oil to use. Overall, I thought this recipe.... <view entire article>
