Chicken Tacos..

Date: April 19, 2019 | Time: 4:00am

This Food Friday we present to you: Chicken Tacos! This is a great recipe for the whole family to enjoy. I personally added peppers and onions to make it a little bit more like a fajita. Unfortunately, I did not have any ripe avocados to add to the mix, but I'm sure it makes the recipe even better. The cilantro on top is a great touch and adds flavor! .... <view entire article>

Grilled Lemon-Pepper Zucchini..

Date: April 12, 2019 | Time: 8:40am

Happy Food Friday everyone! Today we are sharing another great recipe from the US Enzymes recipe book! Grilled Lemon-Pepper Zucchini is a great side dish or main meal. Since I don't have a grill at home (yet), I made this on the stovetop in my cast iron pan with a lid. I also chose to switch out the EVOO for coconut oil as I prefer that taste and it's a healthier oil to use. Overall, I thought this recipe.... <view entire article>

Rosemary-Garlic Roast Chicken with Root Vegetables..

Date: April 5, 2019 | Time: 9:00am

Next recipe on the list- Rosemary-Garlic Roasted Chicken with Root Vegetables! This recipe is great for family dinner. I always recommend using fresh herbs when cooking rather than dried. By stuffing the chicken cavity with onion and rosemary, it gives the chicken a bit of extra flavor. My few recommendations when trying this recipe at home is to make sure you have enough chicken broth in the bottom of the pan and to frequently check on the chicken when.... <view entire article>

Asian Stir Fry..

Date: April 1, 2019 | Time: 1:16pm

The second recipe I tried from the US Enzymes Recipe book was Asian Stir Fry. This recipe has a good foundation, and I definitely have my own recommendations for making it even better! To begin with, the cooking times on the recipe are a bit much for the veggies. I like my veggies to still have a bit of crunch and not be over-cooked. I recommend cutting the cooking time in half for the veggies. Additionally, the arrowroot mixture.... <view entire article>

According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, approximately 40 million Americans suffer from chronic sleep disorders each year. Fun fact: The pH of an average human's stomach acid is so low, it could.... <view entire article>

Screen Time & Its Impact on Our Health..

Date: April 13, 2018 | Time: 11:09am

In the TED Talks video below, Why our screens make us less happy, Adam Alter explains how our time is split up in our day-to-day routine. We spend time sleeping, working, surviving (eating, caring for children, etc.), and taking personal time. Personal time is what makes us individual and keeps us in touch with our humanity. With more exposure to screens, our personal time is cut short thereby taking away what makes us feel individual and keeping us from having a.... <view entire article>
