Oxidized LDL: Standard cholesterol panels measure total LDL — but oxidized LDL is the specific form that drives arterial plaque formation and cardiovascular inflammation. The distinction is clinically significant, and most people have never had it tested.
Fasting Insulin and HbA1c: Insulin resistance is both a cause and a consequence of systemic inflammation. Fasting blood glucose can appear normal while insulin resistance is already well-established — meaning a standard glucose check gives you a false sense of security. Thyroid Antibodies (TPO and Anti-Tg): Autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's thyroiditis) is one of the most common autoimmune conditions — and one of the most frequently missed. A standard TSH test will not reveal thyroid antibodies. Yet many people with "normal" thyroid function on a standard panel have elevated antibodies indicating an active autoimmune inflammatory process.
