The Technology

What is Medical DITI?

Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI) is a non-invasive, FDA-cleared diagnostic tool that pictures and analyzes changes in the skin's surface temperature — without using radiation.

While X-rays, ultrasound, and mammography show the structure of the body, they can miss things like active inflammation and increased blood supply. DITI is different — it shows you how your body functions.

The procedure takes less than 20 minutes, requires no physical contact, and is supported by 30 years of research and over 800 published medical studies.

Accuracy & Research

Backed by 30 years of clinical research

As a routine screening tool, thermography has been shown to be ~97% effective at detecting benign vs. malignant breast abnormalities. One landmark study tracked 1,537 women with abnormal thermograms — within five years, 40% had developed malignancies, even though their mammograms and physical exams had been normal.

“An abnormal thermogram is the single most important marker of high risk for the future development of breast cancer.”
— Researchers from a 12-year follow-up study

Applications

What Thermography Can Help Detect

Thermography is used as an aid for diagnosis and prognosis, and for monitoring therapy progress, across a wide range of conditions and injuries:

Back injuries
Arthritis
Headache
Nerve damage
Unexplained pain
Fibromyalgia
RSD (CRPS)
Dental & TMJ
Artery inflammation
Vascular disease
Breast disease
Carpal tunnel
Disc disease
Inflammatory pain
Skin cancer
Referred pain
Sprains & strains
Stroke screening
Whiplash
Digestive disorders

Thermography does not screen the brain — there is too much active metabolic and blood-flow activity for imaging to be useful in that region.

Why Thermography

Benefits of DITI

No radiation, fully non-invasive

Safe for everyone — no injections, no bodily contact, no radiation exposure.

Sees function, not just structure

Reveals active inflammation and increased blood supply that X-rays, ultrasound, and mammography can miss.

M.D. interpretation included

You receive a color copy of your images plus a written interpretation by a physician certified in thermology.

Year-over-year tracking

All scans are archived in a secure database and compared to your earlier images — important for spotting change over time.

Common Questions

Thermography FAQ

Is thermography a Secoya Health service?+
Thermography is provided by a certified third-party thermography provider — Stephanie Paris, CCT of Picture My Health — who visits Secoya Health monthly. We host the screenings at our Woodbury clinic for the convenience of our participants and community. All scans are performed by the certified provider, not by Secoya staff.
How long does the scan take?+
A typical thermography appointment takes about 20 minutes. Half-body and full-body studies may run a little longer depending on the regions imaged. There is no physical contact and no radiation.
How accurate is thermography?+
As a routine screening tool, thermography has been shown to be approximately 97% effective at detecting benign vs. malignant breast abnormalities. While research is extensive, it is a screening tool, not a 100% guarantee of detection. Picture My Health does not claim thermography replaces mammography.
Does thermography screen the brain?+
No. Thermography does not screen the brain — there is too much active blood flow and metabolic activity for the imaging to be useful in that region. We get this question often, so wanted to call it out clearly.
How often are thermography appointments available?+
The thermography provider visits our Woodbury clinic once per month. Appointments fill up quickly, so we recommend booking as soon as possible. Use the booking system below to see the next available date.
How much does thermography cost?+
Breast scans are $215, half body scans are $335, and full body scans are $435. Payment is made directly at the time of service. Cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex, and FSA/HSA cards are accepted.
What if I need to reschedule?+
A minimum of 48-hour notice is required for cancellations or half of the appointment charge will be billed. Because the thermography provider visits monthly, rescheduling may mean waiting until the next visit. Please call us at (651) 738-7800 as soon as possible if you need to make changes.
Where are the scans performed?+
All scans are performed at Secoya Health, 7650 Currell Blvd #330, Woodbury, MN 55125. Free parking is available on-site.

Thermography is a screening tool and is not a 100% guarantee of detection. Picture My Health, LLC does not claim thermography replaces mammography. All scans are performed by Picture My Health, an independent certified thermography provider hosted at Secoya Health.
